Guided tour of the listed old town of Rust. During a walk, you will learn interesting facts about the history and architecture of our little town. Due to its short duration (approx. 1 hour), this program is also ideal at the beginning or end of a seminar day.<\/p>\n

CITY MUSEUM KREMAYRHAUS<\/h3>\n

On two floors, farmhouse furniture from western Austria is lovingly showcased. A special piece is a tiled stove made by the artist Koschka in 1895, which had travelled halfway around the world before finding its final destination in Rust. The stove depicts a so-called “poor man’s Bible”. Also on display are a wide variety of paintings, tapestries and pieces of furniture that cast the 17th-century house in a special light. In addition, important items from the Rust city archives are exhibited, including the city’s most important charter \u2013 namely the one granting it free city status. <\/p>\n

FISCHERKIRCHE RUST<\/h3>\n

The most valuable building in Rust in terms of art and cultural history, the oldest preserved church in Burgenland with original frescoes from the 13th century.<\/p>\n
